Mr. Henry Wise, 83, a native of Junction City, KS, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. He was a retired Major from the United States Air Force, and an active member of the Master Blasters Association. He worked with the Mount Pisgah Volunteer Fire Department for many years and served as the Greene County Emergency Manager and the Fire Service Coordinator. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Voncile; daughters, Cynthia Dale (Gabie) Wise, Becky (Don) Wise, Wendy (Jesse) Highsmith; three grandsons; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; sister Beverly (Pete) Squires; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A wake will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 3 pm at Freeman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Mount Pisgah Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
