Joe Wetherington passed away on December 25, 2014 in Puyallup, WA. He was born on February 6, 1921 in Donaldson, AR to the late Joseph Berry and Mary Caroline (Norwood) Wetherington. Joe graduated from Central High School in Malvern, AR. in 1939 and Colorado State University in Fort Collins in 1954.
During WWII he served in the US Naval Reserve. he spent most of the war on the Escort Carrier USS Wake Island (CVE 65). During the war his future wife "found him" while he was stationed in Tacoma. Joe married Evelyn Nellie Douglas in the Sixth Avenue Baptist Church on November 28, 1945.
