Ronald "Gene" Fleming passed away quietly at his home in Deerhorn from natural causes at the age of 96 surrounded by his loving family. He served proudly in the U.S. Army including a short tour in occupied Japan at the end of World War II. After being honorably discharged, Gene continued working in the sheet metal industry for many years. If it was broken - Gene could usually fix it with a roll of grey "duct" tape. Gene worked as a supervisor in Alaska building the Alaska pipeline before retiring from Harvey & Price Company of Eugene. |
