John B Copley

Served in the Army from November 1944 until sometime in 1947.

He was a member of the 81st Wildcat Division.  That division was involved with mopping up operations on Wake Island and later the Philippine Islands.

The 81st Division, while at the Philippines, was being prepared for the invasion of Japan.  The invasion was not necessary and John's division became part og the occupying forces of Japan.

John was posted at Sendai, Japan until being sent home for discharge,

Served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Finland.

Lt.Col was an honorary rank bestowed upon him by the Civil Air Pareol where he was Chaplain for possibly 35 years.
