KENNETH E. BISBEE January 21, 1928 ~ October 2, 2010 He never met a stranger, and he will be greatly missed. Kenneth Bisbee was born in St. Johnsbury, VT., grew up in Ashburnham, MA., and passed away peacefully at his home in Vancouver, WA on October 10, 2010. He was 82 years old. Kenneth served in the Navy during WWII, and in the Army Airborne during Korea. Following the war he married and had three daughters. In July of 1964 he married Carol Wilson in Keene, NH. They have one daughter. They lived on the east coast for a short time and then moved to Washougal, Washington. They have lived in Vancouver, WA for the past 35 years. Ken was a truck driver. He enjoyed church activities, hunting, flying, beekeeping and woodworking. He was active with the Clark County Beekeepers and was always involved with them at the Clark County Fair. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Bisbee; daughters, Tracey Greenfield (Mike), of Reno, Nevada, Loretta Torsey, Melinda Torsey (Dave), and Gretchen Simmonds; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers and four sisters. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. There will be a small ceremony at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. There will be a celebration of life at Calvary Chapel Vancouver's Ministry Center on 4613 NE St. Johns Road, October 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flower,s donations may be made to Calvary Chapel Vancouver, 4613 NE St. Johns Road, Vancouver, WA 98661. |
