Daniel Joseph Bauer
April 7, 1927 to November 26, 2014
Daniel Joseph Bauer was born April 7th, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois. One of five born to Walter and Esther Bauer. He was raised and attended school in the Illinois area. After graduating high school, Daniel enlisted in the Navy. While on leave from the Navy, visiting Portland, OR he met the love of his life Jennie Laughlin. That was 1946. On October 10,1947, Daniel and Jennie got married. Daniel then started his career with Iron Fireman while living in the Menlo Park area of NE Portland. In 1980, they moved to the Gresham area. In 1990 Dan retired from his 43 year career from Boeing. He enjoyed golfing and traveling with his dear friends.
Daniel is survived by his three daughters, Cathryn Mowatt of Gresham, Debra Torquato of Canby, Danna Pooschke of Gresham, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Daniel will be remembered for his love of sports and his whit of politics. He was a dad, a grandfather, a Papa and a great Papa. Daniel passed Wednesday November 26th. He was 87 years old. Together at last, together forever.
A memorial service will be held Friday December 12th at 10:30 am. Gethsemane Lutheran Church
