 He enlisted in the USMC when he was 17. His paperwork states his DOB as 10/07/1902 but it was actually 10/07/1904. 
He did boot camp at MB Mare Island, CA 10/27/21, Puget Sound, WA 12/11/21 jng Bks. Det. jd. Guard Co. #1 12/22/21. 

At time of this obituary, it was not known that he had served. He was re-interned alongside his wife at Tahoma National Cemetery 10/27/17.
