Justin Pugh, 28, passed away Dec. 29, 2008, in Okinawa, Japan. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at the Tabernacle Baptist in Altus with the Rev. Greg Hawn and Synott Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home.

Justin Bodee' Pugh was born to David and Tina (Duerr) Pugh at Ft. Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. He graduated from Altus High School in 1998. He entered the US Marine Corp and was a radio communications technician ranked as E-3 Lance Corporal. Justin was currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his son Spencer and his family.

Justin was preceded in death by his father, Rick Mallory; grandfather, Frank Mallory; grandmother, Joann Pugh; brother, Floyd Pugh and uncle Steve Mallory.

He is survived by his parents, Tina and Lee Yabsley of Blair; one son, Spencer Pugh of Frisco, Texas; two sisters, Diana Lynn Morsching and husband Chris of Guam, and Elizabeth "Sweet Pea" Mallory of Blair; five brothers, Tony Pugh and wife Daphnee of Costa Rico, Christopher Pugh and wife Janee of Tacoma, Wash., Todd Mallory of Pittsburgh, Okla., Douglas Mallory of Blair, and Clint Mallory of San Angelo, Texas.

The Yabsley, Mallory and Pugh families will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at Kincannon Funeral Home.

Camp Hansen Marine found dead in room
CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — A 28-year-old Marine was found dead in his Camp Hansen barracks room, officials said Friday in a news release.

The body of Lance Cpl. Justin B. Pugh, of Jackson, Okla., was found Monday, according to the release. The Naval Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the death.

Officials could provide no further information, Marine spokesman Staff Sgt. Brian J. Griffin said during a phone interview Friday.
Pugh, a ground communication organizational repairer, was assigned to 7th Communications Battalion, III Marine Expeditionary Force. He was promoted to lance corporal June 1, 2007, and arrived on Okinawa Aug. 23, 2007.
"The Marine Corps is saddened by this loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Lance Cpl. Pugh during this difficult time," Marine spokesman 1st Lt. Adrian Rankine-Galloway said in the release.
