Robert "Bob" Earl Doddroe Keith & Keith Funeral Home

YAKIMA - Robert "Bob" Earl Doddroe (62), son of Emily "Bernice" (Price) and Russell O. Doddroe left his earthly existence on Friday, August 14, 2009.

Bob was born on April 1, 1947 in Portland, Oregon. As an infant his family moved to Hermiston, Oregon where he lived until joining the Navy. Bob enlisted in 1966 at the age of 18 and received an honorable discharge in 1967.

Bob married Vivian Davis in 1968. After divorcing, Bob married Dee Ann Smith in 1974. Together they had six children.

In his adult years, Bob lived throughout Oregon and Idaho until settling in Yakima in 1996. Bob was a jack of all trades, working as a mechanic, welder, and carpenter among other things. Whenever possible, Bob could be found enjoying the outdoors, and was especially fond of fishing. Bob had a great appreciation of music and a love of singing which he passed on to his children.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother Emily "Bernice" Hinkle, father Russell Doddroe, step-father Walter Hinkle, and nephew Bryan Carr.

Bob is survived by his daughters, SaraBeth and Brianna Doddroe, both of Yakima, and Jasmica Doddroe of Portland (Oregon); sons, Jacques Doddroe of Portland, Joshua (Christina) Doddroe of Mesa, Arizona, and Jacob Doddroe of Yakima; sister, Ona Doddroe Knights of Yakima; brother, John (Jeanie) Perkins of Milton-Freewater, Oregon; ex-wife and friend Dee Ann Smith of Portland; and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Viewing will be on Friday, August 21 beginning at 11:30 with the funeral services following at 1:00 at the LDS Chapel located at 4307 Englewood Avenue in Yakima.

Burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon on Monday, August 24 at 1:00.
