John Elliott Battin

 Born in Portland, John passed away peacefully at Providence Milwaukie Hospital. John was a longstanding buisnessman and icon to the Lents/Battin district of SE Portland. The Battin area was homesteaded in 1860 by his grandfather Con Battin. John is survived by his long time companion, SAndy Lawrence; ex- wife Sharn Battin; business partner, Lloyd Williamson and daughter LAura Battin. A graveside service will be held on monday March 12, 2012 at 1:30pm at Willamette National Cemetery followed by a full wake at the VFW Hall #4248. 
The family asks in remembrance of John that everyone bring their favorite story or picture to share.
