| Arthur Herman Ploetz January 1, 1929 - February 4, 2015 Born on January 1, 1929 in Buer-Resse, Germany Passed away on February 4, 2015 in Portland, Oregon Art came to the U.S. when he was 25 years old and became a United States Citizen. He served 4 years in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict. He met and married Hilda Phillips in Decater, Illinois in 1954 and they were married for 34 years. Art spent his career in Portland working in the ball bearing industry; owning his own company, Art's Bearing and Industrial Supply, and before retiring, Baker Bearing Inc. Art was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church, Portland. He served as youth pastor, missionary and evangelical preacher. He loved fishing and spent most of his time fishing on the Oregon coast and the local rivers. He enjoyed traveling to Germany to see friends and relatives. |
