Delmer served during the Korean War and was sent to Korea shortly after the armistice was signed. After his service, he worked as a welder, pipe fitter, and trucker. |

| Alloway, Delmer Gene 78 April 13, 1935 Aug. 17, 2013 Delmer Alloway died Aug. 17, at age 78, of lung cancer. He was a 40-year resident of Portland whose many adventures included Army Sergeant in Korea, welder, pipe fitter, truck driver and an encore career with Budget/Avis group. His greatest joys were with the family that survives him, wife, Jackie; four children; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
